BRIEF Designing Frances Featherstone’s book was a dream, an opportunity to bring together the highest design standards with creative freedom, celebrating both Frances’s extraordinary paintings and the depth of the words alongside them. I chose contemporary, elegant fonts to reflect her style of painting, with wide margins and generous white space to focus attention on the paintings and let them tell their story. With details such as head and tail bands, printed endpapers, case binding with foil, and the beautiful production by Gormer Printer, we created a truly special object.
At By The Book Design, we believe every book deserves to be as beautifully designed and produced as the story it tells. Our focus is always on clarity, elegance, and production values that rival the best in publishing, and Frances book is a testimony to that.

BRIEF Elvis fans Lili Rodriguez, Marian Keijzer Steennis, and photographer Elmar Keijzer approached By The Book Design to transform their manuscript into a beautiful, immersive book celebrating Elvis Tribute Artists and the devoted fans who adore them. They wanted a design where words and photography shared equal weight, with a vibrant yet readable layout. We paired every quote with its image, preserved the photographer’s original crops, and added a touch of Graceland glamour with classic typography.
The result is a dynamic, polished book, published in print and ebook in both the USA and Europe.
